Advent Reflection

“And he said to them,
‘Is a lamp brought in to be put under a bushel,
or under a bed, and not on a stand?’”
(Mark 4. 21)

Standing by the light of the coming Christ
in a world that often lives under the darkest shadows
is a constant challenge.
It is easier to stand aside or back away,
especially when confronted on all sides.

But witnesses – people who stand up and stand out –
are vital to demonstrating that 'there is another way'.

Pray also for a successful end to the Climate Change Talks in Paris,
that will bring justice to the victims of our reliance on fossil fuels.

  5. We had the same text in mind in the same 24 hours; this must be true very broadly now in the world. I admire your generous way with it. Amitiés de Noël ~
