Advent Reflection

“And he said to them, 
‘Is a lamp brought in to be put under a bushel, 
or under a bed, and not on a stand?’”
(Mark 4. 21)

Standing by the light of the coming Christ 
in a world that often lives under the darkest shadows 
is a constant challenge. 
 It is easier to stand aside or back away, 
especially when confronted on all sides. 

But witnesses – people who stand up and stand out – 
are vital to demonstrating that 'there is another way'.

Pray also for a successful end to the Climate Change Talks in Paris, 
 that will bring justice to the victims of our reliance on fossil fuels.
