My daughter and her husband have been in Berlin for the past three months, without any snow. Now they are in Switzerland and the snow has begun and doesn't seem to be stopping. I think a snowy white Christmas is the very best kind. We'll have a very green one here this year - with rain, not snow. I'm dreaming of a White Christmas is one of my favorite songs.
I love these clips/songs and I love the Chopin from your previous post, as well. You have struck a wonderful chord for the holiday season. I'm happy to hear Oskar is doing better but I'm sure you are quite exhausted looking after him. I know he will be up and running around soon. Karin, I wish you and your family a lovely and Merry Christmas with all the wonderful joys of the season. XOXO
Dear Karin, life has been so busy that I've barely been online for at least a week, but today I had a day of catching up with chores at home and your music (Dean, Frank and Chopin) has been a constant background for me - thank you so much for this! Wishing you well with your Christmas preparations, and yes, I'm also hoping against hope for a white one! Karen xx
Dear Karin. Thank you for stopping by today and for leaving a comment. I am glad you found my blog and enjoyed the story about L'Abbé Pierre. It is my turn to visit and wish you "Joyeux Noël"! You live in a favorite French region of mine. I visit often because I have cousins in Montignac. We stayed in Sarlat last July and I wrote a travelogue about the trip if you are interested in reading it... A bientôt, Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
I'm dreaming of a white Christmas 'Cos I haven't had one I to know, That the treetops glisten, and children listen To hear sleigh bells in the snow.............
