Dear All.....

As you may have noticed since I'm back from Germany I've slowed down on posting.
For several reasons due to pressure of things from what I've had to look after here at La Pouyette.
So, I've been spending very little time on my desk
and just skimming quickly through the blog world from time to time.
Which means that I'm now far behind with writing comments
to all of your interesting posts with beautiful Christmas themes, decorations and images.
Sorry about that.

And then.....

...last week our Oskar had a serious accident which has involved major surgery
and hospitalisation in Bordeaux. We brought him home 4 days ago
and we have to give him full attention throughout the day for at least the next 6 to 8 weeks.
The poor chap is not allowed out to roam around the garden and fields,
he feels very deprived and, apart from his pains, is not amused at all being a "prisoner",
neither are we!

I will try to be back before Christmas.
Meanwhile, warmest wishes to all of you,

  1. Darling, I do hope Oskar continues to improve and has a lovely Christmas dinner with you. I think he has the best home in the entire world! Merry Christmas, Karin...sending love....

  8. Dear Karin, Our animals do worry us and sometimes they are so much trouble. They give so much back and we are their keepers because they can not take care of themselves. Oskar is a very lucky cat to have you to take care of him. Wishing you and yours a very happy holiday season. And yes, we look forward to your posts when life at La Pouyette is a little less hectic. Gina

  9. Very beautiful stars and a snow leopard!
I wish you a speedy recovery to Oscar.

  11. Oh my goodness, I am so sorry to hear about Oskar and hoping that he heals quickly and as smoothly as possible. Our pets mean the world to us, don't they?

The blog world will be here when you get back.

  12. I hope Oskar is making a speedy recovery. Our pets are an integral part of our lives so I can understand how upsetting Oskar's accident must be for you. Your blog-friends will always be here.
Thank you for taking the time for this post.........love the Christmas stars.
I hope your life gets "back on track" soon.

  13. Poor dear Oskar! This sounds very difficult for both you and the patient - I wish him well and I wish you a very happy and peaceful Christmas. Looking forward to having you back whenever you feel able.
Many good wishes from Karen xo

  14. Poor Oskar, I hope he recovers quickly. I know how worrisome it can be when our four footed friends aren't well. Give Oskar a hug and kiss from me and I wish him well!

  15. Dear Karin,

Life is more than blogging and sometimes we need to attend to other things. I hope Oskar doesn't chafe too much at the inactivity, and that you cope well.

    Merry Christmas!

  16. Poor, sweet Oskar... I am glad to know that he is mending and hope that the confinement is not too hard on any of you. There is nothing like the love of a kitty. Gentle hugs to Oskar...

  17. Give all your time to handsome Oskar that he needs. We will, of course, be here when you can get back.

  18. Dear Karin - I am so sorry to hear about Oskar! He has the best mom and dad in the world to care for him as much as you do! I hope he heals quickly and is back to normal!! I haven't been blogging much either...just too much to keep up with these days! Hope to catch up soon! Merry Christmas dear friend!

  19. I don't know how I missed this! I am so sorry to hear of Oskar's illness! I can't imagine him cooped up and missing his precious wandering! And you having to also be cooped up- !

You must be doing a lot of reflecting.
Just let us know when you want the trees trimmed...

  20. Oh Karin, I hope Oskar is recovering well from his accident. Our furry little loves mean the world to us and I know how upsetting it can be when they are ill. Please be sure to take all the time you need. We will all be here when you are able to return to blogging.
I hope you have a lovely Christmas and please give Oskar a kiss for me.

  21. Thinking of you and Ockar. May he be back in good health soon
    Happy Christmas Karin
