This month post is about blogging,
in Marsha's words:
in Marsha's words:
Do you remember when
you 1st started blogging?
Well, here is my little "story":
It all began in Spring 2010 when I discovered Trish's fabulous blog:
Remember how much it meant to each of us to have a
new follower/friend?
And,
remember how we
would have adored being pointed out to all the blogging world by another
blogger,
a well-read blogger?
a well-read blogger?
Well, here is my little "story":
It all began in Spring 2010 when I discovered Trish's fabulous blog:
TROUVAIS ~ French interiors, rough luxe, flea market finds

...and when we both came together 'via peonies'.
This was the beginning of a lovely friendship!
Because of Trish's encouragement and inspiration I created a few months later my own blog.
Thank you Trish! here

"My good friend Karin from La Pouyette has posts on linen that are incredible here and here.
An antique dealer for over 30 years, at times showing at Battersea,
her blog is full of gardening and antique information.
She can occasionally be talked out of seriously beautiful linen and other textiles…
like the initialed piece above that I’ve shown you several times." Trish

I know that I've neglected to some extend the blog world during the last few months,
slowing down with commenting and posting.
As it is sometimes in life - unexpected things are coming up which are demanding full attention....
But I will certainly try to catch upon with all of you as soon as possible!
A very special THANK YOU
to each and every one of you
for still reading me and for all your friendly comments!
It means a lot to me and certainly so much appreciated.

Sometimes there are other things in life which must take priority but we will still be here when you are able to blog! Suzy x
ReplyDeleteHope things settle down in your life. That's just the way it is sometimes. Lovely photos from Trouvais!
ReplyDeleteTrouvais... always one of my favourites... A lovely post Karin... xv
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely story Karin and perfect for our By Invitation post this month.
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid that real life is far more important than blogging and we all have to get on with it and leave our blog sometimes. I haven't been so good lately either !!!!
Hope everything is well Karin and it's just life in general that is taking up your time. Much love. XXXX
Lovely post Karin and beautiful images from Trouvais...hope things settle down soon and you have a little more time for the blogging world...I agree with Jackie real life is more important and it takes us away from time to time.
ReplyDeleteHope you're back soon.

What great joy your blog, support of my blog and friendship have given me. Life has dictated that I slow down my rate of blogging, but I am still lurking in the background and love to read entries in my favourite blogs. Bisous
ReplyDeleteTrish has always had a beautiful blog shame she doesn't post more often. Like you Karin I've had to slow down on my blog time mainly do to time...there isn't enough of it. Between my business, home life and our property I don't have enough hours in a day. I just jump on when I can and that's the best I can do. I do miss your posts but totally understand.

Hi Karin,
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about not blogging or commenting often, I think that is the wonderful thing about having a blog and being a part of this community we don't need to all the time. I too have been very restricted in time these last 12months that I haven't been able to blog much or visit everyone. Thank goodness for Marsha and bringing us all together each month.
Trouvais is a beautiful blog with such lovely images, thank you for sharing!
Sending hugs from down under, xxx Coty
Bonjour Karin. My blog is still young, but I find encouragement in the story of friendship you told today... I did not know Trouvais, so I am glad you mentioned it here. It is ok to take time away from blogging. There is a thing out there called "life," and it is worth living; otherwise, what would we all blog about anyway? :-) Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
ReplyDeleteI remember your very first post...I visited Trouvais...and followed you from there...Isn't it fun to look back...XO, Mona
ReplyDeleteI also remember your very first post and found you through Trouvais. Yes, life has to be lived and sometimes blogging has to take a back seat. I haven't blogged in a few months because life has been so busy. I will get back to it one of these days. We all do the best we can do. Hope all is well with you. I miss you! xx
ReplyDeleteKarin! I am a little late, taking time to read everyone's posts quietly but I have to shout out loud that your last photo is amazing!!! Wow. And I loved hearing your story--isn't that the best of what the blogging world can offer? That you can create something lovely because you have been encouraged by someone established who believes in you? I can never get over how generous people are on the blogosphere--and that includes you!
ReplyDeleteGros bisous,
H
Dear, dear Karin! I am so honored! You are such a great addition to the blog world! And your treasures! Several are now mine...my very favorite finds! The garden work slows, now...soon we'll both have more time on our hands, n'est-ce pas? "Talk" to you soon!
ReplyDeleteXO Trish
