THOUGHTS OF
OCTOBER ????
"Poetry"

Walking....
....over the fields...
...through our little forest nearby the house...
...my enchanted forest....

"Remembrance".....
....of last year's October when our pomegranate shrubs were still alive...

'His Highness' Oskar....
....having his afternoon nap in the warm October sun....
...disguised as a log of wood...

everyone must take time to sit still and watch the leaves turn."

Looking forward to a colorful Fall
as we use to have here at La Pouyette.....
when....
"....The falling leaves drift by the window
The autumn leaves of red and gold....."

October
by Robert Frost
by Robert Frost
O hushed October morning mild,
Thy leaves have ripened to the fall;
Tomorrow's wind, if it be wild,
Should waste them all.
The crows above the forest call;
Tomorrow they may form and go.
O hushed October morning mild,
Begin the hours of this day slow.
Make the day seem to us less brief.
Hearts not averse to being beguiled,
Beguile us in the way you know.
Release one leaf at break of day;
At noon release another leaf;
One from our trees, one far away.
Retard the sun with gentle mist;
Enchant the land with amethyst.
Slow, slow!
Thy leaves have ripened to the fall;
Tomorrow's wind, if it be wild,
Should waste them all.
The crows above the forest call;
Tomorrow they may form and go.
O hushed October morning mild,
Begin the hours of this day slow.
Make the day seem to us less brief.
Hearts not averse to being beguiled,
Beguile us in the way you know.
Release one leaf at break of day;
At noon release another leaf;
One from our trees, one far away.
Retard the sun with gentle mist;
Enchant the land with amethyst.
Slow, slow!
