Lesley and Toby are also exhibiting at the fair
Stand 95

"At the Decorative Fair we like to think we transcend fashion.
Our exhibitors source objects with inspire trends, rather than follow them.
"New" products on the high street have their origins in the art and style of the past;
to anyone who says contemporary interiors have nothing to do with history,
we say "we have to disagree"!
Antiques and vintage stock offer so many benefits: each item is unique, one-off,
has been loved, cherished and survived so well that it deserves to be passed on
to another who appreciate it innate sense of style, its purpose and its craftsmanship.
An antique is the ultimate in ecologically-friendly interior design, as well as in heirloom."
Patricia Harvey, Founder and Organiser of the Fair

I must say that I really do miss these fairs, all my customers, all good dealer friends, the excitement.....
....and London

see also my post about the Fair from January  here

*

I'm looking so much forward to Toby's and Lesley's next visit in November here again at La Pouyette.
Still remember when Toby on the last visit loaded quietly on his own, just over night,
an enormously heavy and large stone garden bench from our porch into his van.
When we saw next morning what he done we were 'flabbergasted' that anybody could manage that alone!
As I said - highly passionate with body and soul!

I hope that you all enjoy this two posts about the Fair,
the introduction of my friends Jim Jackson, Lesley and Toby, and their antiques.

Bonne Semaine et a bientôt !

  2. I've really liked the dinning table + chairs at your "shop-snap-shop" picture. I will be in London next week, but late for the fair and no time to travel to the West country, much as I love it. Next time. Thanks for the tip.

  5. what a wonderful collection of beautiful European Antiques. Some one has a good eye. I have the same bird cage that you show, the muti-storied one. I love it. It would be hard to pick a favorite thing. I might say the deer statues. Thanks so much for letting me tag along. Richard from My Old Historic House.

  6. Thanks a lot for your comment Richard!
I know that you are a passionate antique collector with a profound knowledge.

And I love the bird cage as well, could see it in our house just like a 'statue'. And would not mind to have the deers dotting around in our garden amongst some shrubs....You have a good eye!
