A moment of melancholy...

....when our lovely guests from Ohio, US were ready
to head-off further South of France and Spain,
but not without leaving a wonderful present for us...

....a beautiful Orchid, carefully chosen with love!

Au revoir - Annie and Pieter, it was great to meet you!
Bon voyage!

 Hot afternoon....

...in our little town Riberac...

...and at La Pouyette, 28 degrees in shade!

*

 Yes - Oskar, who else!

Whenever and wherever he sees an old chair or basket or anything old...

he thinks that it is just arranged for him!

*

Late afternoon...

Early evening...

and a lovely sunset...

A beautiful  "Altweibersommer" !

Bon Weekend!

  4. Salut, c'est Christine de Californie. Nous avons des flores memes. I have a plant that you have shown here in your post. It is now changing color to autumn color. Altweibersommer next to the green door, last post and in a previous photo? We call it Virginia Creeper. I love it...very green in summer and beautiful autumn color later! It requires nothing. How exciting to know that your flora and fauna is the same as ours in many ways!

  5. Your end of September looks like ours only neater, the weather hasn't been letting us out but tonight is gorgeous. Rick and Dylan are out front laying in the leaves enjoying the evening breeze. Beautiful post Karin and thank you for sharing.

  12. OMG, Karin, I didn't realize Annie & Pieter had visited. Isn't this the most wonderful thing? Making friends via blogging. I'm so happy to see a pic of Pieter, goodness, he's tall, isn't he? And, your photographs make to feel as if I am with you (& wishing I were). Sending love, my friend. See you on Tuesday....

  13. Looks like you're having the same fantastic weather we are enjoying here in London! I have just posted about the Battersea fair, but wanted also to tell you that both James Jackson and Toby Lorford were so charming and friendly when I introduced myself. Both spoke about you with the greatest affection and admiration! Thank you so much again, and I hope you enjoy my few photos. Karen xx

  15. The sunlight is so beautiful this time of year, dancing over the golden grAsses and turning leaves - all seems gilded and more magical in early Autumn.
I am sure that your guests were sad to go.
    Oskar has the right idea!
    Beautiful photos.
    Happy weekend,
    Isa
