A Review of our Garden in May/June - Part 1

May:

The world’s favorite season is the spring.
All things seem possible in May.

Flowers, trees, their blossoms don;
And through the blue heavens above us
The very clouds move on."

An adventure on a drizzling May afternoon:

Two of our neighbours goats have managed to break through the fence,
found their way into our garden!

Holla - Holla !
Doucement!  Slow down!

I love our neighbours animals, love to talk to them and
in general I don't mind when they visit our garden - here and there...
as long as they behave - FINE !

We had young Cows, Chickens, Sheeps and all kind of "creatures",
it's always exiting.

And it looked like these goats could replace the lawn mower....

...eventually...

As I said - as long as they behave well....

...and not trying to climb up the Hazelnut tree or destroying my plants!

But then they came nearer and nearer...

*

...near to the beds....

*

...and when they started to trample into the beds
eating leaves and branches of my plants...

I had to tell them off !

Yes !
Don't look at me like this!

As lovely and interesting as you are...
It is not funny....

...and we are not amused at all!

Off you go !!!

We had adventures,

We had a lovely couple from Switzerland
who rented the Holiday house for the whole month of May

We had sunny days...

....clouded ones...

...stormy, rainy and chilly days,

almost April-like...

...but all in all it was a wonderful May!

Spring is God’s way of saying,
‘One more time!'

  3. Dear Karin, There is that beautiful black rose, Don't let the goats get near them. I see that Oskar is not amused at all. Your garden looks beautiful. I see a lot of hard work.
    See in September.

  4. Dear Karin, Thank you for the lovely garden tour. Roses, peonies and more - such lushness. What a lucky Swiss couple to spend a month in your guest cottage. The goat visitors are sweet, but can make themselves a little too much at home.

  5. Wow! You’ve got a very huge garden, and it looks amazing! I love how you the landscaping looks so organized. And you’ve got a wide variety of plants in there! It must be quite colorful when everything is in full bloom. Just make sure to keep the goats away from the flowers, though. Haha! Anyway, thanks for sharing this with us, Karin. Have a great day!
