A friend who's not only sharing my passion
for old peasant's linen and hemp,
also each one of her posts is full of inspiration!

Spring has sprung....finally....
....and I'm occupied up to my head....
...with laundry....
and...
....dying old linen and hemp sheets....
experimenting....mixing colors to get the "perfect" grey....
and - of course - with garden work!
Pruning - digging - weeding - tiding up.....
...paying attention not to cut into Oskar's paws... ;-( !

Just took a little break from all for a quick and short post....
not much time for the blog world -
please forgive me!
please forgive me!
Therefore...
Thank you all so much for still visiting my blog
and for your kind comments!

Back to work now....A bientôt
Lovely things, lovely photos...
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mary!
DeleteDear Karin, Love all your photos but the one of your linens on a clotheline is my favorite. Brings back wonderful memories. And on a good day I still hang out my linens. Oskar doesn't look too worried. Happy week to you and Mr R and Oskar.
ReplyDeleteox, Gina
Dear Gina, I was sure that you'll like the clotheline and thought about you!!!!
DeleteYour photos are lovely and it's always good to see some blue sky. Oskar's twin is here ... she has just delivered a mouse to me!! Off to check out Marie-Claude's blog ...
ReplyDeleteWill go to check Oskar's "twin"...remembering her from month ago! Be proud about the mouse :)
DeleteYour Linen stuff is great Karin ! But it's maintenance must be a little trying, isn't it ? I constantly follow your blog because of its quality and particularity. No need to thank us...
ReplyDeleteGros bisous !

Efxaristo Olympia. But it's a need for me to say "thanks" - just here and there...or every so often...

Bonjour Karin,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Nothing beats antique and vintage linen. Your collection is fabulous. And hello to Oskar :) At first I didn't see him hiding between the lavender plants. BTW, my lavenders are finally coming back. After every winter, they look really awful. Never sure if they will come back.
Take care,
Loi
Loi, Lavender requires/loves a very well drained and rather poor soil and calcaire/lime!
DeleteSo, try to add a bit of chalk to the earth around your lavenders, it might help.
Bonsoir Karin,
DeleteForgiven!
ReplyDelete:-)
Lovely linen!
Have a wonderful spring!
♥ Franka
Herzlichen Dank, liebe Franka!
DeleteHello Karin
ReplyDeleteThe joys of Spring, gardening and working with linen. It does not get much better. Hugs to Oskar and wishing happy hunting and basking in the sunshine.
Helen xx
Thanks from Oskar and me, dear Helen! Oskar is sending a big purr-purr to a lovely painter!
DeleteKarin the fabrics are so wonderful. I adore the blue/grey shade. It would be a perfect table runner or cloth.
ReplyDeletePS I am having a Paris Book Giveaway.

DeleteThis is a wonderful time of year, when everything comes alive in the garden - even the weeds. The linens are gorgeous hanging on the line.
ReplyDeleteYes Lorrie, it is one of the best time of the year! But please don't let's talk about the weeds!!!! Driving me mad, although some of them can be rather useful....:)
DeleteHi Karin....Oh so nice to see all the linens drying in the sun ! A perfect time to enjoy some gardening and fresh air. I had a look at Marie Clauds blog..very nice ! Good to see Oskar enjoying some sun too ...my cats follow me around the garden wherever I am working...they are my shadows !! Have fun ...Gail x
ReplyDeleteThe textures and composition of these images are gorgeous (and Oskar is always handsome).
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely to be able potter in the garden and observe its rapid changes during the Spring. I often wonder what I'll find in our garden when I return to France this year. I wish our houses were closer so we could meet in person - perhaps one day? Warm regards, Elizabeth
