The frittillaria, especially the series in the bud vases, are delightful.<br />What you call snow bells we call snowdrops, and they are the very first signs of spring, even appearing before the crocuses. <br />By any name we have NO flowers at all, or if we do have some bulbs beginning to sprout, they are hiding under the latest blanket of snow. And cold? Shiver-worthy cold. It is the third day of spring, but unless you know that, you'd never guess.
